In an emergency, when life is in danger or a crime in progress, dial 999.
In a non-emergency dial the new number, 101.
Calls to 101 will cost 15 pence for the entire call, no matter how long you are on the phone – this applies to both landlines and mobile phones
101 – New non-emergency number is here
As from 19th September you can contact Wiltshire Police by calling us on 101.
The roll out of this new non-emergency number is part of a national programme to make it easier for you to contact your local police. 101 will be used for non-emergencies such as:
contacting local officers
getting crime prevention advice
making us aware of policing issues in your local area
making an appointment with a police officer
for any other non-emergency
reporting a crime (unless crime in progress, when you should dial 999)
